Libra season: Sept 23nd-Oct. 22nd
Lately, I’ve been craving softness.
Slower mornings. Longer walks. Prettier spaces. Dinners at home. Clothes that make me feel good. More time with the people I actually love being around.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about balance.
Am I working too much?
Am I actually enjoying the life I’m working so hard to create?
Do my routines make me feel good, or am I just checking things off another invisible list I’ve made for myself?
And then I looked at the calendar.
Oh.
Libra season.
Of course.
Maybe We All Need a Little More Balance

After Virgo season had us analyzing, organizing, fixing, and generally trying to get our shit together, Libra season feels like someone opening the windows.
Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet associated with love, beauty, pleasure, relationships, and connection.
So the question starts shifting from What else should I be doing? to:
Do I actually like the life I’m living?
Which is a slightly terrifying question for a Tuesday morning.
I’ve realized I’ve been incredibly focused on the future lately. Things I want to build. Goals I want to reach. My wedding. The person I’m trying to become.
I love having things to look forward to, but sometimes I’m so busy preparing for my future life that I forget I’m already living one.
Very inconvenient realization.
Libra Season Isn’t Just About Love
Obviously, Libra has a reputation for romance.
And listen, I’m engaged. I love love. You will never hear me complain about a Venus-ruled season making everything slightly more romantic.
But Libra season also makes us look at how we’re showing up in all of our relationships.
Who’s meeting you halfway?
Who leaves you feeling lighter?
Where are you saying yes because saying no would feel awkward?
And the slightly uncomfortable one:
Are you keeping the peace, or are you actually at peace?
Libra is represented by the scales, and balance sounds beautiful until you realize finding it sometimes requires admitting that something has been uneven for a while.
I’m Romanticizing My Life Again
I’ve also been trying to make ordinary life feel a little more special lately.
Going on my walks. Cooking at home. Getting coffee somewhere cute. Wearing an outfit I actually love. Working on Mooodycherry from a coffee shop because apparently typing the same words next to an iced drink makes me 47% more creative.
It’s silly, but maybe that’s part of the point.
Libra season reminds us that pleasure matters too.
Not everything needs to contribute to a five-year plan.
Wear the outfit.
Buy yourself flowers.
Make dinner unnecessarily pretty.
Call your friend.
Light the candle you’ve been “saving.”
Also, what exactly are we saving all of our nice candles for???
Sometimes the little things are the life.
But Our Pretty Girl Has a People-Pleasing Problem

Libra loves harmony.
Which sounds wonderful until harmony becomes avoiding conflict at all costs.
I’ve definitely had those it’s fine, it’s not worth making a big deal about moments.
Sometimes that’s maturity.
Other times?
Girl. It was, in fact, bothering you.
This season is a good time to notice where you’re compromising.
Are you meeting someone halfway, or are you walking the entire distance yourself?
You don’t need to start an argument or dramatically cut everyone off.
Just notice.
Where does your life feel reciprocal? And where does it feel exhausting?
That’s information.
And Then Comes the Libra New Moon…
Later in Libra season, we’ll have a New Moon in Libra, and she’s getting her own entry because we have things to discuss.
I’ll be breaking down what the New Moon may highlight for every zodiac sign, along with a wellness practice, reset, and little ritual or journal prompt for each sign.
Because knowing what’s happening astrologically is cute.
Knowing what to actually do about it?
Even better.

For Now, I’m Trying to Be Here
That’s probably my biggest lesson going into Libra season.
I don’t want to constantly wait for my life to begin.
After I reach the goal.
After I look a certain way.
After the wedding.
After I make more money.
After I finally have everything figured out.
Because knowing me, I’ll get there and immediately create another goal.
So I’m trying to enjoy this version too.
The walks. The coffee. The wedding planning. The quiet nights. The things I’m building. The people I love. The version of myself who still doesn’t have everything figured out.
Maybe Libra season isn’t asking us to create a perfectly balanced life.
Maybe it’s simply asking whether there’s enough beauty, connection, pleasure, and peace mixed in with all the striving.
And if there isn’t?
Maybe we make a little room for it.
Anyway, I’m probably going to go rearrange something in my house now.
The energy is off.
Obviously.
Happy almost Libra season, babe. ♎️🍒
with love,
